Portraits for people who are working during the Covid-19 pandemic

“Due to the unprecedented circumstances my focus has turned into supporting and documenting key workers and colleagues. From meeting and offering free portraits to dedicated doctors who visit my workplace which provides fresh bakery and takeaway coffee, showcasing the night patisserie chefs. To visiting The Point, a food drop in for on-call workers from the local hospital during the first wave of Covid-19 I got to understand what and how people were doing their bit to help, realising the depth of this troubling time. It was a privilege to photograph their courage and commitment. Please enjoy viewing the people I have met and work with. I photographed and selected these specific people because they have shown their true colours and emphasises how many are doing their best.” – Alastair Searles, November 2020
